Welcome to Livingston Parish, one of the fastest growing parishes in Louisiana. We boast of some of the kindliest people around, exceptional public schools, an ever-evolving culture and vast opportunities for families and businesses to grow and flourish. Livingston Parish welcomes you and yours. Once you see what I mean, you may never want to leave!

Livingston Parish has numerous opportunities for businesses to grow, both large and small. We encourage businesses from the local Mom and Pop store to manufacturing, service industries, and various other businesses. With our parish’s size, we have plenty of room to grow! Our convenient roadways and access to Interstate 12 allows everyone within our parish, and even those in neighboring parishes, to move conveniently from one corner of Livingston to the other. With our current improvements to I-12, navigating the parish will become an even better experience.

Livingston Parish is 460 square miles of scenic rivers, forests, bayous, towns and parks. Many people of our great parish enjoy boating, fishing, or a relaxing float down the Amite, Tickfaw or Blood River. North Park in Denham Springs offers various courts from Basketball to Tennis. Top-notch golf courses are offered from Greystone in Denham Springs and Carter Plantation in Springfield. Near Springfield, Tickfaw State Park offers lodging, canoeing, camping and fishing. Tickfaw ranks in the top 5 state parks in Louisiana.

Livingston Parish has municipalities of nearly any size to suite your taste. With Denham Springs being the largest of the 8, you can choose from a small city environment to a large community, or even a small community. The seat of the parish is the small, warm town of Livingston, located in the center of the parish. To the west of the Town of Livingston, we have the cities of Denham Springs and Walker. To the northwest, there is the settlement of Watson; to the east are the small towns of Albany, Killian and Springfield; and in the southern region of the parish are the villages of Port Vincent, French Settlement and the unincorporated community of Maurepas. In the center of the parish, the community of Colyell sits just below the Town of Livingston along with the Old boomtown of Frost.
