From the Parish President - Mike Grimmer

We would like to welcome you and your entire family to the fastest growing Parish in Louisiana. Livingston Parish has become an awesome place in which to live and raise a family, with plenty of room for escape and tranquility.

Our Parish has been ranked number one in the state for growth for the last five years in a row. We have also been in the top 100 fastest growing counties in the nation, for the last nine consecutive years.

Our office is working hand-in-hand with our Office of Tourism, Livingston Economic & Development and the Chamber of Commerce, focusing on developing a firm foundation for you, your families and generations to come.

Within its 460 square miles, the Parish has one of the top school systems in the state. With over 430 miles of natural waterways, the Parish has become a hot spot for outdoor boating and good clean family recreational enjoyment.

The Tickfaw 200 poker Run has become one of the top three runs in the nation. The Tickfaw, Blood and Amite Rivers offer scenic beauty around every curve, making it a prime destination for those who want to live and play on the river. Residential developments along the Diversion Canal are second to none. Carter Plantation and Greystone Golfing communities will offer some of the finest courses in the nation—not to mention available up-scale lots and home sites.

The Tickfaw State Park is a stone's throw from the historic community of Springfield and offers camping, lodging, canoeing and fishing. Our State park ranks number five out of twenty one State Parks in Louisiana.

Denham Springs is the largest of the Parish's eight municipalities just across the Amite River, east of Baton Rouge and west of the community of Walker. The Town of Livingston, the Parish's seat of government, sits in the center of the Parish. Albany, Springfield, and Killian are all located on the eastern border, while Port Vincent and French Settlement, both of which feature Cajun influences, are located along the southern part of the Parish.

We work hard to keep Livingston Parish at the top of the list for a great quality of life with fresh air and country living.

May we all enthusiastically embrace a future full of promise and may God continue to bless this great Nation as well as Livingston Parish.

Thanks & God Bless

Mike
